The Of Thee I Sing Christmas program includes all of the elements our audiences have come to expect that make our programs so special, with historical songs and images, audience participation, and over ten onstage costume transformations!
This multi-sensory experience immerses audiences in the unexpected history behind our nation's most beloved Christmas songs, and inspires us to be the best version of ourselves in every season of the year.
Program Highlights:
-
Discover how America has been shaping the world culture of Christmas since the 1800s – with plenty of chances to join in the singing!
-
Learn how the loss of Abraham Lincoln inspired “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” and sing the hymn with newfound meaning.
-
Celebrate the Christmas and patriotic music of Jewish-American Irving Berlin, composer of "White Christmas" and "God Bless America." Also an immigrant and US Army Veteran, Berlin once said “I owe all my success to my adopted country.”
And much more!
